Volleyball Competition

We entered 2 teams into the Volleyball Tournament on Thursday. It was new to all the children and we had not practised! We had a quick coaching session when we arrived at Priory School before the event started and then it was frenetic!
The 2 teams learned very quickly how to serve, score and rotate as it was 2 on court , 2 off court with teams rotating after a point was won.
The boys played 5 matches winning all 5!Scores were: 10-6 against Ropsley A, 8-6 against Isaac Newton B, 10-5 against Denton B, 11-6 against Corby Glenn and 10-9 against Harlaxton A.
Despite winning all matches it places were awarded on accumulated points and that resulted in us coming 3rd- still very respectable but rather disappointing to hear that the play off teams were Ropsley A and Harlaxton A- both teams we had beaten.

The girls played 6 matches, winning 2 and loosing 4. We won 16-6 against Ropsley B,18- 2 against South Witham .

A successful evening- Boys team 43th placed, girls in their league came 5th.
