Netball League 1 matches.

Due to storm Doris where 2 earlier matches were postponed, we played all 4 league matches on Thursday at Priory- luckily they had floodlights as we played until 6.30!
We knew it would be tough and we are traditionally also rather slow starters in matches- would this be our downfall?
Match 1 was against Grantham Prep.We let in 7 goals in the first half-not a great start! Second half we pulled together and scored 2 goals really holding our own.If only the whole match have been like that.We took the positives from our first lost match- that we could match our opposition and score goals as we proved second half.
Match 2 was against Denton and was nail- bitingly close resulting in a 5-5 draw.
Match 3 against Isaac Newton, and  we did not have a good first half letting 4 goals in. We lost the match 6-1, again playing much better second half.
Match 4 was against Long Bennington.
Once again tough opposition but we outplayed them winning 4-0.A brilliant way to end the night.
Overall,we think we have come 3rd out of all the schools in the Grantham areas over 16 schools- a  highly commendable effort and result. Our next target is the High 5 Netball tournament at the end of term.

Our proud team of 7.

A long cold night- thankyou team and parents for supporting for 2 and a half hours!
