Swimarathon

Children from Y5 and Y6 together with leavers and parents made up 3 teams for the Rotary Club's 25th Swimarathon event. Over 55 minutes the 3 Marston teams swam over 500 lengths and have pledged to raise over £500 for charity. Another fantastic effort from everyone involved-well done.

Here the children proudly show their certificates. Everyone who took part was given a Tshirt-here the children wear theirs-they will grow into them!

Swim Gala

On Tuesday 17 children took part on the swimming gala at the Meres. We had 5 races with no competitors as we had no swimmers lower down the school-despite this we still managed to come 5th out of the top 7 small schools competing in the' A' gala-a pleasing result showing just how well the children swam. Both
Sophie Emma and  Sophie Elizabeth came 1st in their races, Rory and Jess came 2nd and Conor and Chloe T came 3rd in their races, super individual performances.
The relay team came 4th-narrowly missing out on 3rd-Chloe T swam superbly finishing her leg of the race in 2nd position.Everyone gave their best and represented the school magnificently.

Individual certificates were awarded for being placed in the top 3 and an overall certificate was given to the whole squad.
Well done all.

Sport at Priory Ruskin

Amy and Harry have been attending special coaching sessions at Priory Ruskin learning new skills in volleyball, table tennis and this week-rowing.
Here Amy is trying out the new activity .

Each rowing machine was linked to the computer and the speeds and distances of the rowers was projected onto the wall of the gym so the children could see how they were doing.
A great new  experience .
