Netball
There are no photos from the night as it was so foggy so the team photo was taken in class the following day!
Amy, our netball captain, wrote the following reports about our 5 recently played matches.
Long Bennington:
For our first match we drew 4-4 in a very exciting match. One boy for Long bennington was very good at scoring.
Ropsley:
For our second match we won 4-3. It was very close but we pulled through winning the match.
St. Mary's:
Our final match in the first round was against St. Mary's and was probably the toughest match of all with a very close score-but we still won it 5-4.When a sports ambassador girl asked Mrs Chadwick who the best player was , she said , " I could not compare them because they worked so hard as a team ."
The second round of matches took place at Priory Ruskin under flood lights( and fog!) on 20th November. Amy wrote the following match reports:
Barrowby:
This was a difficult match because it was foggy, I was surprised we could even see the ball! Sophie Elizabeth was good because she scored most of the goals. At the end we lost 5-3.
Denton:
This was a really hard game. We worked really hard but it wasn't easy to beat them. Their goal attack was amazing-he was their star person. In the end we lost 2-0 but we worked excruciatingly hard.Mrs Chadwick said Vincent was the wayne Rooney of netball because of his fantastic accurate throwing.
We now wait to be put into league based on our results where we will play our next in the spring.
