BISI Badminton Festival

A team of 6 children represented the school at the annual BISI Badminton Festival at KGGS on Thursday-we came 1st out of 9 local primary schools.
Children had to complete a series of badminton based skills and activities working as a team, accumulating as many points as possible.
                                                   Our team before the  start.

Hitting the shuttlecocks into hoops.

Swapping after 10 goes .

4 minutes per activity.

How long a rally could pairs keep going?

An agility activity-placing the shuttlecock on spots then removing them- every 5 = 1 point

Aiming into very small hoops and an upturned cone. More points if shuttle cock is in cone.

Catching skills. Katie ( a KGGS Sports Ambassador and past Marston pupil was scoring this event)

Place ball on launch pad, stomp on pad to send ball in the air-now partner has to catch it!

1 point for a catch, 2 if caught 1 handed.

Celebrating coming 1st.Super skills, team work and result.

Well done .
It was so fast moving from one activity to the next without a break that most of the team did not even have time to remove their joggers!

Back at school being presented with medals and a trophy for our cabinet.
