PE with Mike from Inspire+ and Sport Relief PE

Mike came for his last session and showed us a different game of bench ball- we had to stay on our hands and feet!
At first children were quite tentative, moving carefully to try to score...

then things got very competitive with children scuttling across  and leaping on the ball- no heed of the hard wooden floor and knees-no doubt some good bruises at the end!

you could not move with the ball, when you did move you had to keep hands and feet on the floor-children soon became skilled and adept at this and really enjoyed the session.

All classes were invited by our Bronze Ambassadors to come to school representing different sports. In PE we had to complete as many 1 minute challenges as possible to score points that when multiplied by 10 would represent miles to Rio. ( We had 5767 miles to get there!)

In Real PE we have been learning how to send and receive the ball in different ways, use our creativity to come up with different ways and to create patterns and sequences so this week we used all these to help us complete our 1 minute challenges.
