Sam Ruddock and his Hunting for Gold assembly.

Sam visited us for a special assembly to talk to us about his preparation for Rio 2016.
He reminded us why he is competing for the Paralympics and not the Olympics showing us photos of him as a child and describing his life with his disability due to being born early at 6 months and having cerebral palsy.

At Loughborough University Sam played American Football and was talent spotted and went on to train for the  100m and 200m.

In London 2012 Sam finished  outside the medals despite running a PB.He decided to swap to shot put.

A very special vest for Sam.

His passes for some of his competitions.

His only gold medal ( so far).

Lots of people wanting to answer Sam's questions.

Sam showing us his pledge to Hunt down Gold in Rio and asking us all to pledge to become active and lead healthy lives.

Sam signed and so did Casper and Joseph our Bronze Sports Ambassadors.

Sam told us to  " prepare, practise and perform" in order to meet our goals and dreams.

Despite beating his PB in the shot put Sam finished 5th and now hopes to improve and medal in Rio.
The score chart from the  Doha championships.

We hope you manage to hunt down gold in Rio and come back to show us your medal.
